ACC 2022 Legislative Conference Wrap Up

ACC welcomed members from across the US to Washington, DC, this past weekend for ACC’s Legislative Conference. SC Chapter members visited Capitol Hill to discuss key health policy issues with members of Congress and their staff.

The key topics for this year’s meeting included: Medicare cuts, prior authorization burdens, health equity and more.

SC Chapter President, Dr. Michael Foster, was awarded the ACC Advocacy Award by Dr. Andy Miller, head of the Heart PAC, for advocacy efforts made in South Carolina including holding a State Legislative Day in February as well as a PAC donation competition between NC & SC Chapters during the Annual Conference in September.
